Nick took the Central England mindfulness group to Kings Heath Park this evening. We were encouraged to walk around the park whilst 'letting go of any intention other than awareness'. We noticed colours, textures, shapes as well as our physical feelings and emotional responses. Trying to be more aware of our breathing while walking proved hilarious at one point :) And discussions opened up about how much detail we actually miss in our everyday lives. A few of us came to the conclusion that so many of us live life on automatic pilot letting what's really important slip away. Mindfulness helps us to live our lives fully again, moment by moment by moment.
