Coaching is great for when you want to make changes. Here are some questions that people often ask about the coaching process.

What does a coach do?
A coach is someone who aims to enable people to achieve personal or professional goals.

Will you, as the coach, tell me what I have to do?
No. NLP coaching works on the premise that you come to the best conclusions for you at that particular time, and that only you know what is best for you.

Will you, as the coach, give me advice?
No. We all have different perspectives of the world and who is to say mine is better or more successful than yours? NLP Coaching may enable you to recognise when a certain perspective on a situation may be restrictive or unhelpful. Coaching takes quite an objective view and makes it easier to see the structures and pathways that are helpful and open to you.

Will you, as the coach, be on to me 24/7 making sure I stay on task?
No. I will obviously be available to give support when needed but the idea is that the process empowers you to make changes for yourself.

I've heard that NLP (neuro-linguistic programming) is a form of mind control. Is this correct?
No. NLP is all about excellence in communication, with ourselves and with others. It focuses on the verbal language we use, as well as body language and other forms of communication. In understanding more about the language we use, NLP enables us to see patterns in our emotions and behaviour more clearly and then be more able to see how we can make changes if we need to.
