My News!

Due to the nature of hypnotherapy and mindfulness, a lot of what I do remains confidential. However, whenever I can, I like to share what's been going on in 'Rachel's world'. My work in group mindfulness and tutoring lends itself more to sharing than 1:1 hypnotherapy or mindfulness sessions, so many of the posts you'll see here are to do with that. But that doesn't mean that the private 1:1s aren't going on. It's just that I take the confidentiality of my clients very seriously.

Summer holidays!

August was a particularly busy month, with me seeing a number of new clients including children whose parents were taking the opportunity to help their child during the summer holidays and before the onset of the new school year.
Working with children is always quite different from working with adults. Children are often more naturally open to new ways of looking at things, and hypnotherapy can work very quickly. Often, the sessions are made up of more practical techniques that the child can take away with them and start using right away, with shortened 'eyes closed' visualisations incorporated too as appropriate. Children are naturally on the move all the time and it's quite ok that they are not sitting still, listening with eyes closed all the time during a session of hypnotherapy. Some can do this and some are not yet ready, and that's fine. It all works the same!
I endeavour to utilise the child's own interests in their own personalised hypnotherapy programme and a parent is present at all times (often benefitting in their own way too with a little bit of down time).

Update 2026: RMB Hypnotherapy and Mindfulness now provides one-to-one and group sessions exclusively online via Zoom, supporting clients across the UK. Please see the current website pages for up-to-date information about services and contact details.
