Rachel Broomfield - Hypnotherapist and Mindfulness Teacher
Thank you for taking the time to find out a little more about me.
My interest in the connection between the mind and body began when I was studying for my A Levels. Seeing how stressed I had become, my mom gave me a book about relaxation techniques. I was amazed that something as simple as slowing my breathing, relaxing my body and paying attention to the present moment could make such a difference. That experience sparked a lifelong interest in how our minds influence the way we think, feel and respond to life's challenges.
Today, I feel incredibly fortunate to spend my working life helping people who feel anxious, overwhelmed or stuck. Every person is different, so I tailor each session to the individual, drawing on hypnotherapy, mindfulness and other therapeutic approaches to find what works best for you.
Alongside my private practice, I'm a tutor with both the UK College of Mindfulness Meditation and the UK College of Clinical Hypnosis, helping to train future mindfulness teachers and hypnotherapists. It's a role I genuinely enjoy and one that keeps my own knowledge and skills continually growing.
Before becoming a therapist, I spent 20 years as a primary school teacher. That experience taught me the importance of patience, understanding and (most importantly) creating a safe, supportive environment where people can learn, grow and build confidence.
If you're wondering whether hypnotherapy or mindfulness might help, then do get in touch. If I think I can help, I'll explain how. If I believe another form of support would be more suitable, I'll tell you honestly.
I look forward to hearing from you.
