Hypnotherapy for Stress, Anxiety and Low Mood

Picture
Stress and anxiety are natural human responses designed to help keep us safe. Sometimes, however, that response can become overactive. We may find ourselves worrying about what might happen, imagining worst-case scenarios or experiencing uncomfortable physical sensations such as tension, a racing heart or a feeling of unease.
When these patterns continue for some time, they can affect many areas of life and may also contribute to feelings of low mood, helplessness or being stuck. Anxiety and depression can sometimes occur alongside one another, with each making the other more difficult to manage.
Hypnotherapy can help you learn to use your attention and imagination differently, while helping your mind and body become more familiar with feeling calmer and more settled. It can also help you explore habitual patterns of thinking, feeling and responding and begin to develop different ways of relating to them.
One of the most useful things to remember is that the mind affects the body and the body affects the mind. Learning ways to settle the body can therefore also help the mind begin to respond differently.
There are many approaches that can help with stress, anxiety and low mood, and finding the ones that feel right for you is important.
Please get in touch if you'd like to find out more about how hypnotherapy might help.
